You deserve a quality built & designed, safe, long lasting, and competitively priced deck. More than just a deck, you are buying the knowledge and the integrity of the contractor. Your local building inspector can't prevent 75% of the potential ways that the unethical builder or dumb installer can cheat or short-change you.

By taking the time and initiative to research deck builders-deck contractors, you have put the odds more in your favor of getting an excellent quality deck that will provide 20+ years of service. I say that the majority of decks to be built in 2022 (every year I say this) will be a detriment to the value and eventual saleability of the homes that they will be attached to.
We respect your neighbors If there is a radio on the job site, the volume will not be excessive. Profanity is also not allowed on an A-Affordable job site. But, if someone whacks their thumb with a hammer, cover your ears! On average, 25% more lumber goes into our deck structures. That equates to more strength, stability and less potential problems in the future.
Angie's List, not quite as they describe themselves. Suburban Chicago area deck contractor reveals Angie's List business practices that negatively impact service providers. What are my thoughts regarding Angie's List? Superb idea! What a business plan! Charge consumers a fee of, lets say $135.00 annually (depends on where you live).
Other than traditional wood decking, there are a gazillion manufacturers of composite & vinyl decking. I typically work with the ones listed below. They are all good products. There is a lot of junk on the market. There are also other decent synthetics that are not listed. It's too confusing to offer everything that is available.

Frank & his team exceeded our expectations with our new deck. After losing access to our previous deck in the tornado, we knew we wanted to change the size/layout and stairs for the replacement deck. They understood & had great ideas on how to improve and make the new deck more functional for us. They worked with the Village so we didn't have to concern ourselves with permits/codes.
They demolished our old deck quickly & cleanly & the whole building process was organized & clean. When it was all complete - we didn't get a basic deck - we got a beautiful outdoor living space that has amazing details due to their craftmanship. It is sturdy & safe we cannot wait to fully enjoy it next summer!

Frank and his team did an excellent job on our new deck. We are absolutely thrilled with the result and amazed at the quality of the work that they did. Even the building inspector said that this was one of the highest quality built decks that he has seen in the area for a long time. They were very professional, timely and kept our yard clean throughout the entire build. We highly recommend A-Affordable Desks.
