BREX BREX Corp. was transformed from a logging business into a construction business in 1971 under the ownership of the late Ralph D. Brown. At that time, Ralph D. Brown & Sons, Inc. focused on site-work for residential homes throughout York County. The business was founded on the principles of honesty, integrity, hard work, and attention to detail. At present, BREX Corp. is owned by Mark D. Brown, third generation of Ralph D. Brown. BREX Corp. has broadened its markets to include road building and reconstruction, subdivisions, utilities, commercial and industrial site-work as well as contaminated soil remediation.

Mark started in the family construction business in 1983 as a laborer. After high school he earned an AS in Civil Engineering Technology from Vermont Technical College and then a BS in Construction Management from Arizona State University. Mark spent 7 years in Arizona working for Granite Construction Company, one of the largest heavy civil contractors in the country, as a Project Engineer and then Estimator/Project Manager on large highway projects.In 1997 he moved back to Maine to take over the family business.
BREX Corp. has successfully completed multiple road projects throughout southern Maine for local municipalities. The projects we have worked on have included full road reconstruction, adding new drainage, updating existing drainage, and sidewalk construction.
BREX Corp. has completed many subdivision projects over the years. From smaller 5 lot subdivisions to larger 100+ lot subdivisions, we have the resources, knowledge and people to complete any size subdivision project in Southern Maine. The scope of work of a subdivision project consists of clearing, stumping, grubbing, constructing a new road, and the installation of underground utilities.
From large box culverts to smaller HDPE culverts, we have the resources necessary to work on drainage projects of all sizes. BREX Corp. has installed multiple large precast box culverts for local municipalities throughout southern Maine. We also have the resources to construct complex drainage ponds, saving the owner time and money by utilizing our GPS equipment.
