The Building & Fire Code Academy (BFCA) provides comprehensive and practical training and continuing education courses in the administration, application and enforcement of building and fire code both on campus and online. Training is available at several locations around the country, on our campus or on-site at your facility. Online attendees will have the ability to see and interact with the instructor and students in the classroom. Online attendees will have the ability to earn continuing education units (CEUs) via webinars.

Founded in 2000, the Building & Fire Code Academy (BFCA) is a global training institution dedicated to providing code enforcement education to building and fire inspectors based on the International Codes, Illinois Plumbing Code, National Electrical Code, Life Safety Code and the legal aspects of code administration.
BFCA is approved by the Division of Private Business and Vocational Schools of the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) providing comprehensive and practical education in the administration, application and enforcement of building and fire codes. Training is available at several locations around the country, on our campus or on-site at your facility.
Classroom training is our live instructor led training courses taught by our Building and Fire Code Academy expert instructors. Attending classes at our facility will enable you to build your network with colleagues in the field while earning valuable certification or continuing education credits. Our on-site training provides customized code training while we provide our expert Building & Fire Code Academy instructors and training materials to you at the location of your choice.We bring our expert instructors to your facility so your employees don't have to travel saving time and thousands of dollars while keeping your workforce close to home.
Online training is recognized as an acceptable form of education, and the Building and Fire Academy offers online training for code enforcement in the form of on-demand training courses, virtual training courses and webinars from any computer with an internet connection. Virtual Instructor-Led Training refers to training conducted in a classroom by our instructors, and students may attend the session online via conferencing tool.
