Too many Land Owners looking to capitalize on their real estate assets these days find themselves between a rock and a hard place. Do I simply sell on the open market and avoid the hassle of the entitlement process? Or do I attempt to navigate the entitlement and development process myself so as not to leave dollars on the table?

Yes there was problems, jut like any and all companies. The difference is Craft Mark FIXES and repairs any problems as fast as possible. No problems now. 1 year and all is GREAT! Love living here. I work professionally with Craftmark Homes and they are a pleasure to work with! Their sales reps are passionate about what they do and are always on top of their needs as well as their clients needs. Not to mention their homes are absolutely beautiful! 10/10 recommend them for future home buyers.

I've been selling new homes for 41 years. I've purchased many new homes myself. I must say, that you really have to give Craftmark Homes credit for offering custom options, a long laundry list of high end included features, Energy Star CERTIFIED homes and last but not least, they have award winning floorplans. Builders in the market place just don't do these things. Base on all of this-I'm getting my very own Craftmark Home!

We are purchasing a beautiful elevator townhome at Liberty. Lori and her Craftmark team have provided exceptional service every step of the way. The range of options available, from the infrastructure, to the IT backbone, to the quality finishes is amazing. These spectacular homes are sleek, elegant, and forward looking. They have brought vitality to this historically relevant site, and the views are amazing.

Preserve at Westfield. My wife and I were so happy to be moving in to our new home. We carefully selected all the finishes we wanted, custom changes and eagerly waited to move in. The process from the start was pleasant and comfortable. That's where the quality ended. Pre walk through we discovered the tile contractors they used had no idea what level or straight line meant.

Actually I don't think anyone hired to build the house owned a level. The floor on the main living level was as level as ripples on a lake. They had to cut up a 4 foot by 10 foot section of the floor to level the joists. Then it took their flooring contractor two times to get the hardwood floor somewhat passable. This started in August 2019 and took 4 months and it's still not what was represented in the model. 3x13 foot island quartz countertop had a poorly joined seam. Sent out a contractor to "polish" the seam and now we have 3 foot by 8 inch area that looks unbelievably dull and far worse then the original installation.

Just "fixed" the hardwood steps that were cracked today. Stain job looks like a child finger painting. Craftmark does not equal quality. Update 10/28/2020 Craftmark had the sub contractor replace my 3x13 island quartz counter top today. Now the entire counter is dull and in no way matches the other original surfaces in the kitchen as far as shine.

When I inspected the job I also found a wood splitter in the finish. The installers removed the wood material from the quartz and filled. That spot is duller than the rest of the surface. They didn't pre drill the faucet hole so now the house is covered in quartz dust. Update 5/9/2021 I'm compelled to update once more for all fairness. Months ago Craftmark had the sub contractor replace the Island Counter again.

This time it finally got to the acceptable level. Craftmark has truly stepped up to make things right but I would reccomend to them to get a new counter top contractor. Further to Craftmark's credit they repaired a leak in one of the first buildings constructed due to a contractors faulty installation. This was outside of the warranty and charged our neighbor nothing. For this reason I set my review to 3 stars from one.

2 year update at bottom of review. We are about 80% of the way through a build with Craftmark. This is our second time building a home and the experience so far has been much more positive. (We built a Ryan Home before.) The quality of the build is very high with very nice standard interior finishings (thick crown mouldings, hand finished wood floors, etc) and energy efficient features (2x6 exterior wall assembly, tankless water heater, etc) just to name a few.

We hired a home inspector that specializes in new construction for our pre-drywall walk through and he was impressed with the build quality and standard finishes. Our saleswoman Madeline has gone above and beyond to make sure we are happy. She responds to emails and phone calls quickly (and at all hours) and even gifted the game "Operation" to my four year old daughter to play while I was busy trying to select all the options for the house. Linda in the model has been very kind and helpful as well.

The building superintendent, Ross is very experienced and has been with the company for many years (I can't remember the exact number, but it was 10+) which is rare for this industry. He isn't as chatty as the ladies in the model, but he seems efficient and detail-oriented. He has a process. One thing about Craftmark as a builder that has really impressed us is their willingness to truly go custom.

Want to move a wall a few inches? Just ask if it's possible. It will cost extra, but it's nice to have that option. There were some minor surprises with the floor plans. When we upgraded the elevation and added features like the three car side load garage, it changed the floor plans slightly and that was not communicated. We were unaware of the changes until we actually went through the house at pre-drywall.

It would also be nice to just have a price list of additional options to look through. There were some options that we didn't even know existed until we had our new home orientation. They worked with us on the price giving us a big discount for not bringing a Realtor and threw in a few extras here and there which was nice. UPDATE: We've now lived in our Craftmark home for two years.

We did our 9 month walk-through with DeWayne. He was efficient and quickly went through my list. My frustration was that I felt like I needed to fight to have many things fixed. For example, our banister in the foyer was stained unevenly and had paint splatter sealed under the poly. DeWayne looked at it like it was fine and treated me like I was being picky.

I had posted pictures on a FB group with many tradesmen and they had confirmed that the workmanship was extremely shoddy. The contractors from Craftmark had to come in multiple times to get it right-ish. We also had issues with the trees planted on our property. We were given an upgraded landscape package due to our location along the roadway. The first time they planted the trees (about 30 of them) more than half of them died due to poor placement.

We had dead leaning trees all over the property for months while I fought to have them placed correctly. The work was finally done, but I spent hours fighting with them about it. The grass over our drainfield had to be replanted by Craftmark multiple times. The work done so cheaply and poorly that it never took and we still have a large brown spot in our yard.

We also had some problems with erosion at the end of the driveway that could have been fixed if they would have sodded the whole area instead of partially seeding it which washed away. Their solution was cheap and half-a$$ed. My calls to DeWayne have been ignored and his voicemail full. My advice would be to not sign anything landscape related until you see that the planting has been successful.

Not just completed. Yes, that will take months, but they need that signature to close out everything. I regret signing. Once you have signed those papers, you are no longer their problem and you will be ignored. Overall, I love my home. I feel like it is efficient and well-built. I wish they would have remedied my yard concerns better.

My wife and I purchased our first home at the preserve at Westfield. We fell in love with the Craftmark Glendale townhome and recently moved in. Bethany Stewart was tremendously helpful in the sales process and was extremely knowledgeable when it came to all the logistics and options. We are very pleased with the customer service post settlement as well! Thanks Craftsmark for making our first home as a newlywed couple so special!

My experience with the Craftmark Homes team at the Preserve at Westfields was excellent from start to finish. Sales Manager Bethany Stewart was just great, walking me and my realtor through options and sharing the details of what promised to be an awesome "urban" neighborhood in the heart of Fairfax Co. I was so impressed with the floor plans, roof top terraces, and extras.

I knew this neighborhood was going to something special! I settled on the house approx. 2 months from the time I signed the contract, and the settlement date never slipped. The project managers were all phenomenal, as well. They were super approachable and willing to answer construction questions and helped every step of the way, making the "new construction" as stress free as possible. I love the quality and modern feel of my new home, plus the location of the Preserve at Westfields cannot be beat. Thank you, Craftmark Homes team, for everything!

Craftmark Homes is a very reputable, local established home builder that is most impressive on many levels. High quality construction which includes an impressive upscale level of upgrades throughout the home placing them in a prominent position in the market place. Their very desirable locations put them at the top of the list! This builder is on point with what customers are looking for. So refreshing!
