I've worked with several builders in the past and recently worked with Bill Clous on my folk's new house build. He has displayed all the qualities you want in a builder. Very professional, responsive, meticulous with details, and most importantly fair with prices in correlation with quality. Will be posting pictures of the end product here in a few months, but wanted to say thank you to Bill and his team thus far for a smooth design process. Bill came in to meet with my wife and I even thought they were technically closed today. He was very patient and helped us find the design we wanted. My initial impression is positive.

We have stopped to look at the model home over three times. The first, they didn't have anyone available. We came back, a couple months later, we needed an appointment and left our number (no call). We go back a third time a few days ago and they had just sold it that morning. They refused to show it. She kept quoting me the price of the house. I was like, that price is fine. I guess these guys couldn't have ordered me another one? All out? I refused to leave my name again. Frustrating! Why would anyone do business with them?

As first time homebuyers, Eastwood Custom Homes provided excellent service while searching, purchasing and closing on our home. They made the process quick and easy. They were very knowledgeable about the market and helped us to get the best deal possible. They helped us navigate through all the paperwork.a process that most home owners dread but it was a piece of cake with their assistance!

And even after the purchase they were there to assist us with some minor siding and flooring replacements! My husband and I have been in the house for a couple years now and still are very pleased with our decision. So happy to be in a home in the town I grew up in and perfect for our growing family. Eastwood would have met their deadlines easily had it not been for the work shutdown due to the virus. Despite the circumstances, Eastwood delivered safely, timely, and professionally. For first time home-buyers, particularly in Leelanau, this was a great option in an extremely competitive market.

Thinking of the possibility of building a retirement home was nothing short of daunting, and we really had no idea where to start. Then we visited Eastwood and that all changed. They have myriad home plans, which was the starting point we needed, and we asked if they could build 'this house' with 'these changes, ' and they said 'absolutely!' Bill, Julie and Scott were our go-to people, and they never disappointed.

It was definitely a learning process for us, and they were all very gracious throughout, from inception to completed project. Eastwood has a beautiful showroom with all types of finishes that you can see and touch, without having to run around town--it's all right there which made it so sensible and convenient. Bill's vision was paramount in the property we chose as well as the layout and details of our home that would never have occurred to us. Julie was a godsend to work with, answering all our many questions and using her design expertise when choosing finishes. Scott held the reigns during the building process and was on top of everything that needed to be taken care of.

Because working with Eastwood was so smooth and seamless, we ended up buying property, building our home, selling our home of 25 years, and moving before we really had planned--and we couldn't be happier! Our home is extremely energy efficient, it's exactly what we asked for, and it is crafted with quality materials. We continue to spread the word of Eastwood Custom Homes, and we highly recommend anyone with any idea of home building to visit Eastwood--they most certainly will impress you as they have us.

Eastwood was wonderful to work with, always promptly responded to any questions or change orders during our new build. They also helped us modify the blue prints to customize our home for the items on our "must have" list without exceeding budget expectations. We have already recommended Eastwood to several others in the area!

There are no words to express how we feel about Bill & Ron and our new home. Bill knew exactly what we needed. We are just as excited now, as we were the first day we walked in. Eastwood Custom Homes built my home during the summer of 2017. I'M SOOOO IN LOVE WITH IT! It turned out perfect, Eastwood's crews really know their stuff. Eastwood has been building homes for over 40 years and you can tell. they move right along and the accuracy is incredible! Eastwood came through and on time. MY DREAM CAME TRUE. As every new homeowner knows, there are always some issues that come up with new home construction. We have had some fairly minor quality issues with our new Eastwood home but the builder (Ron and Bill Claus) have been right on top of it. They had the appropriate crafts people come out in a timely manner to fix these things. Ron has been great on communicating a schedule and keeping it. Ron and Bill are very pleasant and respectful and you can tell they are proud of their work. They listened to our needs and made good on correcting problems. We love our Eastwood home and are happy to be back in Traverse City.
