Due to heavy rainfall and a shortage of skilled labor, we are not able to serve homeowner customers with wet basement or wet yard problems. Unfortunately due to overwhelming demand for our services Gordon Energy & Drainage is no longer working directly with homeowners of finished homes. This is a decision that we did not take lightly. Our labor shortage is forcing us to put our focus, dedication & workforce to the servicing of our existing home builders and contractors. We will continue to work with homeowners for new construction services.

Customer service was great, FYI (for those like me) they do not install their pumps for home owners as of 3/2022. So if you are looking for an install Foundation One or a plumber is recommended.

Have them changed the sump pump battery yesterday. 1. We called them twice and were told that they will replace the battery for us for free because we have 5 year warranty and they installed the system in 2017, still under warranty. When the guy came over to change the battery he told us we need to pay $400 because the warranty is 1 year. He got a little upset because he doesn't seem to believe me when I told him that we were told over the phone about the 5 year warranty, so I called the office in front of him and the lady over the phone confirmed again it is 5 year warranty.

Then I told her this 1-yr warranty conflicting information from the technician, the lady over the phone then said:"Hold on, let me confirm." and came back with correction of 1-yr warranty. I asked her so what was the 5-yr warranty on? She said: nothing is 5-yr warranty. They should be able to give accurate information on these basic and important stuff. 2.

The battery they provide is Continental Batteries Model CB121100. They charged me $400. I called the battery manufacturer afterwards to check on the battery cost, was told it costs $150-$200 depends on the state. I think $400 is overpriced.

During a pre-sale home inspection the inspector reported both the sump & battery backup were not working. We were out of state and could not check ourselves. Fully expecting to pay over $1200 to replace both systems we called Gordon Energy who came the next day and verified BOTH systems were working properly. (The inspector didn't know what he was doing.) A less-than-reputable company could have replaced the systems and charged us. With Gordon we paid a minimum service call. This company deserves your business!

It has been nearly two years since we had a drain system installed on the side of our home. The area always had standing water and was a mess. I waited to write a review since we weren't sure how we felt about it immediately after. A large, 15-20' perforated pipe and two catch basins were installed in the problem area along side our yard. From there, a 100' line was installed diagonally across our back yard to take the water away from the yard, with a pop up at the back corner of the yard that emptied into a green space.

When the work was complete, the perforated pipe seemed too high. We called Nathan, who we had been working with. He immediately came out to look at it. He agreed and with a day or two, the guys were back out to lower it. Nathan warned us that they would do their best to take the grass off and put it back, but it would look rough and take time to fill back in and level out.

It did in fact look bad that first year. We have over seeded twice now, and you cannot tell at all where the pipes were installed! As for the drain. it works amazingly! There is never a drop of standing water in the former problem area. Additionally, there used to be a river through our yard where we had heavy down pours. We don't have that anymore.

There was another area that used to collect water that no long does. I think this was a great investment. We had another perforated pipe put in the year before on the same side, but in the front. It was installed by another company. It was too high and still has a hump. The grass burns out in the summer. So, all in all, I would recommend Gordon Energy for the work we had done. They were professional, easy to work with and Nathan was very responsive to any questions or concerns.

I had a French drain put in because my back yard would flood when ever it rained. They came out and gave me a free estimate at a good price. Some companies charge you just to come out and take a look, which really puts you off. Gordon Energy did a great job and it only took them an afternoon to get it done. My backyard is now dry and is usable. I highly recommend them.

I recently hired Gordon E&D this February 2016, to take a look at my egress window which every rain storm would fill over 2 feet high and leak into the house. I did a lot of research into the type of drainage I would need prior to hiring the company. I chose Gordon based on their high reviews, customer satisfaction, impressive years in the industry, and being local.

I did have other bids on the same issue but I felt Gordon co. was the right fit. Things that impressed me over the other companies was the honesty, professionalism, and thorough explanation of the proposed interventions. This meant a lot to me since I recently moved from AZ where I did not need to worry about rainstorms entering the house. Joe the manager was very informative and patient with all my questions.

He even called me after hours to help clarify information and provide me with guidance even when he knew I was consulting other bids. Joe was never pushy and gave me the time I needed. A company that sends the manager on consultations in my opinion, speaks a lot about customer service. After I hired Gordon E&D, Joe and I brainstormed options to also fix problem areas around my foundation.

We decided to install drainage in both window wells, replace old sump pump and create a proper pit (old one was in terrible condition), install a french drain with down spouts leading to it, and install catch drains in high problem areas. They even left the dirt I asked them to leave in the spots I wanted them to (although they would have gotten rid of it if I wanted). Nelson and his team did fast work and were very thorough.

They explained the equipment and tested the system with me. Everything looks fabulous and you can't even tell where they placed the french drain in my lawn. The new pit looks so professional and I cannot be more pleased. I am actually excited for a storm. I feel prepared. Thank you Joe, Nelson, and Gordon E&G. I found a company I trust and I plan on using them for future work as piering may be in the near future.

I hired Gordon Energy Drainage (GED) to waterproof the exterior of my basement, install drain tile with gravel and place a sum pit inside the basement. When I contacted them to get an initial estimate they were very helpful in answering my questions and explaining each service. I had not ordered this type of service before so they took the time to go over my many options which helped later when I went to order their services.

After a few months I contacted them again to get some clarity on the difference between 2 types of waterproofing they explained how each was applied and what was best for my budget / needs. When the time came to order my services, they again we very helpful in confirming the services / price (same as original estimate) and getting me on their calendar.

Once the day came GED called me with an ETA so I could meet them at job site and the crew began the work on time. It was great to know that they have their own crews do the installation vs outsourcing it to a sub who might cut corners. The crew on site was very professional and when I requested the gravel for the drain tile be installed by "hand" vs using the bobcat (save time) they were OK with my request.

I asked them as - I did not want a retaining wall / concrete slab to be disturbed / damaged near the basement foundation wall with the Bobcat. Over all my experience with Gordon Energy Drainage was very positive and I would highly recommend their services to anyone in town. I do plan to call them again for additional services and I can't thank them enough for the time advising me, and the energy spent helping me complete my job! Thank you GED - you guys are wonderful!

I could not be happier with the French drain project completed by Gordon Energy. Dave the evaluator carefully looked at the requirement and developed a reasonably priced plan and provided other optional considerations. Brett and Juan executed the project with outstanding professionalism. Brett explained every step of the project, and even compacted the extra dirt around the house foundation to improve the overall drainage profile--something not included in the original bid. Brett and Juan took considerable care to clean both the driveway and street prior to departing. On time, on budget, excellent result. It doesn't get better than that! Highly recommended.

Gordon Energy and Drainage did work for me in August and September 2013 to correct some drainage and foundation issues. They injected 3 cracks in the foundation with Epoxy and installed an adjustable screw jack post in the basement to both stabilize the foundation and prevent further movement and water intrusion into basement. They also fIxed a number of serious water drainage issues around the foundation by doing the following: fixed and re-routed some of the downspouts and the sump pump discharge, installed and graded additional dirt around the foundation, installed drainboxes at exit of previously installed underground drainage pipes.

Need for all work verified by an independent structural engineer. All of the work was completed with care and with attention to detail. The people who did the work seemed to care about doing careful, quality work. The worksites were left in a neat condition and they cleaned up after the work was completed. All of the Gordon employees that came to work at my property or give a bid arrived on time. Everyone was very easy to work with, patient in explaining what was needed and very open to questions. I would definitely hire this company again!

I'm a few months late in writing this review but happy to do so based on the quality work done by Dan and his crew at my home back in August '13. I initially called Gordon Energy due to some drainage issues in my backyard which resulted in my basement flooding last summer. I consulted a few companies prior to Gordon and each one of them wanted to dig up half of my yard to create "swells" that would hopefully capture running water and displace it to the sides of my yard.

I had Dan come over to access the situation and offer his opinion -- which I liked best. We decided to dig a french drain and cover the top with decorative river rock. All of the work was completed as promised. I can't believe they finished the entire project in one day! The crew was quick and friendly and did a great job cleaning up once the project was complete. Based on my positive experience, I wouldn't hesitate recommending Dan and Gordon Energy.

I was referred to Gordon Energy & Drainage by a family friend who is also a realtor, and I was so grateful she did so. Our project involved some drainage issues with the gutters in the rear of the house, and required some unique solutions to fix. We received estimates from other companies, but none provided as many options, nor were they as sensitive to our budget. Dan worked with me from the initial bid to the completion of the project, and was extremely responsive and helpful.

When the first day of work started, his team quickly identified an unforeseen issue that would make it difficult to perform the work as previously determined. Dan dropped everything and came out to the site to take a look and provide recommendations. His crew was also extremely helpful, and kept me in the loop as they progressed. When the trench they were trying to dig took longer than expected, they brought in additional crew members to ensure the job was completed on time. I would whole-heartedly recommend Gordon to anyone in need of a responsive and budget-conscious company for their home needs.

I can't thank the team at Gordon Energy enough for their professionalism, kindness, and quick response. My husband and I recently purchased a home with a walkout basement that was built in 1974. Until this Spring, we didn't have a sump pump and no one ever suggested that we needed one. Unfortunately, we ended up with water in our basement and lots of carpet that had to be ripped out.

They installed a sump pump with battery backup and suggested changes we could make to the grading around our foundation. Thanks to Gordon Energy, that will NEVER happen again!

HORRIBLE Service. I called them to schedule an estimate and the lady that answered did not want my business. She said someone would call me back in 2 days & I did not hear back ever. So after 5 days of waiting, I called again to ask why I had not received a call & she then explained it was her job to set appointments. WOW, she lied the first time I spoke to her.

Not sure why she didn't want to set appointment the 1st time I called. During the 2nd call, she again seemed to hesitate setting up appointment and told me that nothing was available til December.2 months from now. At that point I didn't want Gordon Energy's business. I called Gordon's competitor company and other company made an appointment without any issues.

I have major foundation cracks inside and outside my house with some foundation floor issues in garage. Gordon Energy lost business! I give Gordon energy NEG stars b/c they have really bad service.

Gordon installed the drain tile system, waterproofing, and sump pump in my new home. We are located down hill from the houses behind us so I was concerned. Gordon installed the drain tile system perfectly. Additionally, I requested they install a sealed radon lid which was completed the very next day.
