Our building process was long but Mike was very responsive and helpful throughout the process. He was always very optimistic of what to expect from the next stage during the build. Mike is very knowledgeable and professional - we could rely on getting answers when we had questions. Thanks Mike for guiding us through our first time build. Service: Home building

Completed our custom design and looking forward to groundbreaking soon! Everyone at GR has been a pleasure to work with. Attentive, patient and thorough! Initial meeting was thorough and time was taken to listen to our needs and wants. Deciding to custom build a home can be very overwhelming. Granite Ridge has the process down to remove the stress and make it enjoyable. The saying goes you get what you pay for and I firmly believe these folks bring much value to the new home construction process!

Id like to share my opinions by going through the process by how we went through it and would like to give feedback on each step. Some background real quick, I have been involved in both commercial and residential construction on both the design side and hands on labor side, so it was very interesting to be able to design and build my first home. The first step is getting to know the process of how things will proceed from the first step of design, to the last step of moving in. Laura Cobbs was our new home specialist and she did a fantastic job of explaining not only the general process but getting into the nitty and gritty of details.

I will say that some things weren't spot on information, but I understand that some things in the process can change from person to person and wont always be the same. Never the less things you can do to help yourself is ask plenty of questions, and write down all of the information you receive or ask for it. The design process was pretty easy and smooth.

We were on what's called a USDA loan and had restraints on what we could do but that was understandable. Even with constraints you get to do a lot, I even got to somewhat make a custom floor plan which (to a degree). They have plenty of designs and colors to choose from. Our designer was a huge help and was able to get us through everything and make sure the questions we had were answered.

They even have a lot of examples of existing items if you want to see how things look IRL. I cannot say enough about the construction process. Being that this whole process started in mid 2021 and ended early 2022 covid has had a huge impact on the construction industry and yet it almost seems it barely affects Granite. I wont say it doesn't, because there are still things that do get affected, but its to be expected.

Another thing that can help with that however is having an amazing project manager. I had the amazing opportunity to work with Jess Rahms and she is amazing. Granite utilizes a software called Buildertrend where they upload all of your prints and pictures for you to always have on hand if you want to view something about the house. Starting from nothing but dirt on a lot, to the finished home. Jess took lots and lots of photos for us and that is a key part in construction (documentation).

This information will be very useful in the years to come. Jess is also a very good communicator and is able to answer just about 98% of your questions on the spot. She is also one of the reason I would suggest building with Granite, if you could ask for a PM, I would ask for Jess personally. I wont say much on the loan process except for this bit.

Get your info to them AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE. Paperwork is one of the slowest things in the construction industry (I know from experience) and loans are no different. However the quicker you can get your info in, and the more detailed it is, the better off you will be. All in all I had an amazing experience with Granite and would definitely recommend to others!

Purchased a new home built by Granite Ridge, very pleased with the whole experience. Huge shout-out to Donny and Jesse; they went out of their way to plow my drive way as the driveway hasn't been completed and is still gravel. From the build, service and the employees, I'd highly recommend. You can tell a lot about a company based on their employees and Jesse/Donny has represented them extremely well!

Once your house is done and you close, they totally change their tune. They were GREAT during the building process! Picking out colors and styles/designs was great. The sales guy was great. Their finance company, Pathfinders, was TERRIBLE! Our house sat built for 2 months while we were waiting for this company to fix their mistakes with the income information.

Once we got in the house, we were missing bathroom fixtures and had to contact Granite Ridge multiple times just to get them to drop them off. Our yard was a complete disaster. The grass hardly grew and the yard is nothing but rocks, clay, and chunks of concrete. We had to pay to have the yard redone because "there is no warranty on the yard." GR tried to blame us and say it was because we have dogs. Well, I still have dogs and the yard is coming in great after having a 3rd party do it on my dime.

I moved in July 2019 and I am still waiting to have my 1 year warranty items completed. Some of their fixes are shortcuts and cut corners. The walls are so cheap you can dent them or chip them with your fingernail. The trim is TERRIBLE! It's not even, it dents easily, and it does not clean well. The paint is cheap and chalky. The doors are basically cardboard. Overall, I am not impressed with the end result. You can tell they're more worried about quantity, not quality, when it comes to building. It's a shame.

My overall experience with Granite ridge was good. However my project manger Alicia made my experience amazing. She is the reason I give Granite ridge a full 5stars. She always gave me piece of mind. Willing to help in anyway possible. Alicia made herself available to me whenever. I never had any questions / or concerns. because Alicia was already ahead of the game.

I'm very thankful I had such an amazing project manger. She made me feel at ease. When I was worried or anxious, because the bank wasn't keeping me updated. Alicia would do her best to give me some type of clarity on her end. She made my experience 5star. Thank you Granite ridge.

Granite Ridge has always been a pleasure to work with. They are without a doubt in a class of their own when it comes to building quality, energy efficient homes. They show a level of care on every build as if it was their own. I would highly recommend and encourage anyone looking to build to put your trust and faith in Granite Ridge!

The sales department was very responsive and quick to accommodate me to look at various sites. Once I made a decision, I was turned over to the architectural team who did a great job adding my ideas into existing models to create a custom build. I was then turned over to their "decorating" department. This part was a lot of fun, but could have been more helpful if options were better explained instead of them assuming I only wanted what most people wanted.

This led to unplanned change orders and more costs, which they did work with me on in some matters. Additionally, I had to ask several times to get samples of things and didn't get them until my build was almost done. At one point, my decorator was working from home for almost two weeks due to a quarantine (but not sick), but would not call me despite my request because she didn't have a designated work phone.

This back and forth via emails was frustrating and I felt she could have simply called me (*67 would have prevented her number from showing if that was the concern). The timing of the project was on target, with a few delays on supplies due to supply chain issues outside of their control. I ultimately had to get my own lighting fixtures to stay on schedule and close without my closets being completed. However, I must say without any hesitation, that the person who made this experience awesome and continues to be there for small residual matters, who was always 100% professional, attentive, understanding, knowledgeable, and responsive, was my Project Manager, Alicia.

She is absolutely amazing! Not only is she awesome to the customer, but she has a great working relationship with her team. She takes pride in her work, values customer relationships, and is dedicated to Granite Ridge. They are so lucky to have her on their team. I would hire her in a heartbeat : )
