The company was named after Henry Gasbarre, who started his own business in 1958. Henry and his wife Yolanda came to America in 1948 from Italy, settled in Irondequoit where he started working as a mason contractor.

Building a new home was one of the most important decisions we have made as a couple. We visited several homebuilders in our pursuit to build a custom home, but stopped searching after meeting with John Gasbarre and HG Builders. We selected a floor plan and tailored it to fit our needs. The quality of workmanship, materials used and professionalism of their vendors exceeded our expectations. We found the whole process from selecting our lot, to the final walk through, an extremely positive experience.
