My family has been doing business with Lawes for DECADES. They are reliable, try to save money by delivering oil when it is cheap and come when called for repairs and emergencies. Great technicians!

Used Lawes to replace our hot water heater. Was previously a customer for over a decade. The heater has given my family nothing but problems, plateauing in heat and never reaching full temperature. The company representative, Steve, was absolutely dismissive to my father. He quite literally would not let him get a word in. He has been saying that he is "too busy" to attend to the problem and blaming the boiler system.

It is the middle of January and my two year old daughter has been taking lukewarm baths at its best and cold baths at its worst. Their arrogant disposition will have me reviewing their "two year contract with complete coverage", as he has attempted to charge my father 600$ for parts that were a band aid solution to the problem (and under warranty).

With labor shortages, I am absolutely sympathetic to short handed businesses. However, the company representative was rude and passive aggressive. Despite him being "too busy" to send somebody to establish a solution, or even to connect us with a call to Energy Kinetics, he was able to hastily send someone to collect the "new parts". I will be reviewing the contract/warranty and hopefully terminating.

Stay away! Customer service was appalling and left us hanging without heat for over 3 weeks. Thankfully, we used another company who fixed it in one day.

I had to replace my old Central air unit. As luck would have it, My old unit died on on one of the hottest days of the summer. I wanted to replace it with a new system. Lawes came over right away and explained everything so I could understand all my options. They were professional, quick and a pleasure to deal with. They did a great job installing the new system and I couldn't be happier with the results. Highly recommended!

A great traditional fuel company with a retail store. Only place in the area that sells 1-K Clear Kerosene at the pump. Just bring your blue containers and load up. Having a Kerosene heater is a life saver when the power goes out. I pray that they continue to offer that fuel for a long time.

I had to get emergency service on an oil furnace. The technician came promptly, diagnosed and repaired the unit. Good service!

Our air conditioning stopped working at our place of business (it was hot) and we called the Lawes Company. They sent someone the very next day, they also called to confirm they were coming and completed the job that day for a reasonable price. The gentleman was professional, pleasant and efficient. I would definitely recommend them!

UPDATE TO MY UPDATE: I ordered an oil refill this morning and Globe Petroleum was at my house WITHIN 15 MINUTES. If yr still with Lawes, yr kindof totally blowing it ------ UPDATE: have been with Globe Petroleum since the day Lawes hung up on me -- and they rule! Online ordering is unbelievably easy, they're super nice, deliver quickly and it's less expensive.

Make the switch, people! ------ DO NOT USE! They are so grossly overpriced, less than helpful and do not care about customers happy or, really, keeping customers at all. They tried to overcharge me and when I said, after being a lot customer for two+ years, that it was too expensive and I was going to Globe Petroleum they rudely said "Fine! We'll close your account right now!" and hung up on me. Talk about customer service! This place is a total racket. Don't throw your money off a cliff. Don't get hung up on by that mean woman.

Have had all good experience with Lawes through the years. Gwen, in accounting, and Steve, service, have always been professional and very helpful. The repair folks do a great job and I've been very happy with response times. Kudos.

Yep, months ago. Really, REALLY BUSY! So, my neighbor helps cut the wind fall from last Spring. We stack it in my home build trailer and go 1000 yards to his place. Last trip ends there when the 1964 rubber in the big tractor tires cracked up. Looked on line for the time and cost for new. OUCH!. Lawes comes up as a local dealer and I visited. They do not have them but they call a couple of their national suppliers.

They did this while I was with them. What I learned is my on line source was much less than half of they cost and free shipping. I was told, "Go get them fast!" They helped me get the scoop to act quickly to solve my need. I got good help! This review is in response to a reminder of my visit; it is my way to thank Lawes. You know I will look for a chance to take other business there, maybe even yours.

I did an oil/gas conversion with another local company. For two seasons the new boiler banged and clanged, cycled on and off constantly, and caused my entire house to shake. The original installers attempted to fix the problem, but no luck. The noise was so bad, I was afraid to turn on the heat. Then I called Lawes. They spent a few hours working on the boiler and the pipes (and it wasn't cheap) and in the end, they completely fixed the problem. The boiler is so quiet, I have to open the basement door to hear if it's running or not. I am so grateful for the expertise of the Lawes technicians. Thank you!

DO NOT - I REPEAT - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR HEATING/COOLING NEEDS. They will rip you off. They will come to your house, look around, rejigger here and there, all the while APPEARING to be professional and knowledgeable. I suffered THREE call-back visits to correct the basics. Meanwhile they wanted to install, and advocated necessary, whole knew boiler system. They were 100% wrong.

As a realtor in the area for 30 years, I use them all the time for oil records, oil sweeps, pulling tanks. You name and it I have used Lawes - I deal constantly with the office in the environmental dept and I could not ask for friendlier more helpful people.
