Somdal Associates was founded in 1908 and over the past century has generated some of the most recognizable designs in the region ranging from iconic schools and churches to modern health care facilities and residences.

Working with PGA Tour Golfer, David Tom's, we began the project designing his vision of an eight hole golf course with a state of the art 15,000 sf. Careful construction administration kept the original plans integrity intact. The facility is strategically sited to present an impressive public image along the main campus of South Shreveport.

The Emmett Hook Center is a theatre structure that will replace the Performing Arts Center and is being constructed simultaneously with the Children's Ministry Center. The theatre seats 320 persons and is equipped with a full stage including a fly gallery, a full complement of theatrical lighting and support facilities for the performing arts.

The sale of an existing medical office building from an area hospital to a physician group lead to the reworking of the existing site and the addition of a state of the art specialty hospital. The creation of a central atrium allows natural light to filter through the core of the facility and provides efficient circulation of the physicians, caregivers and patients through the building. The structure will house the medical offices of several orthopedic sub-specialty divisions as well as the specialty hospital.
