We have assisted over 1500 families to be their own builder over the years from the Red River to Graham to McKinney to Tyler to Waco and all points in between. Wow, What a Rip Off! If you ever wanted to throw your money away in an effort to get your home built, then run on over to Owner Builder Network and you'll be so disappointed. They are a scam- low to no Customer service at a cost of $1000; the first dollars that I have ever thrown given/away. Their custom budget is an excel spreadsheet with numbers and input from you, the home buyer.
I could have done that myself; would a bank really accept that? They sell themselves as a top notch building company with 3 tiers of services which you could get better from your local handyman. Do stay away as this company should be deemed as unfit and unqualified by the BBB.

I was told they had trades and a designer that could reduce my architect plans to fit my neighborhood. I met with their designer and I explained what I needed was told it would be 2 weeks. After 3 weeks he came back with his so called design. He left the entire frame and just sheetrocked over some of the rooms the half bath he said he couldn't find a spot for it.
No way any legitimate school would recognize him as a designer. Since no one from owner builder network was helping l drew up my own design. Still this so called designer kept making changes ( Angel Alegre from New Dimension ). He was so bad he eliminated my front door, had the house backwards on the plans, couldn't do stairs, couldn't figure square footage.
I needed to start my house so I gave up that he was ever going to be able to do the job. I just paid someone else to do his job. Next I needed trades and supplies to build my house I needed window bids and was told by Brad their were delays getting bids. So I started looking and got 3 bids in one or two days. After two weeks I asked again for bids from Brad and was told again their were delays.
So I called their suppliers and got two bids one the same day and another the next day. From Sheila or Brad nothing in one week, one month nothing. Then 8weeks later they came up with bids so I called their suppliers and was told these didn't meet code for Galveston. It didn't get any better. They couldn't come up with anything I could use and some they never came up with. Any bids were from 1000 to almost double what I could find on my own. I built my house with no help from owner builder network. A total waste of 20,000.

We built our home through Owner Builder Network. We just closed on our home 8/11/2017. It was a very rewarding experience for us. We would gladly do it again and would recommend that everyone do it. Sheila and Brad were Awesome people to deal with and very knowledgeable about the process and were very willing to help and share that knowledge every step of the way. They truly care about their customers and their customers custom homes.

Sheila & her team were very helpful. Me & my husband have been searching for the perfect home builder to help us construct our home. Owner Builder Network was great! They even helped us finance the whole project. We were very involved in the process which was a good thing. They take no shortcuts and make sure that the place looks great! Great people, very knowledgeable. They build our home from the ground up. What I loved about Owner Builder Network is that they were good listeners. They really listened to what i wanted my home to look like and that is just what a got! Highly recommend if you are looking for a custom home builder in Texas! :
