James Quigg arrived in Grays Harbor and became a foreman at Mathews Shipyard in Hoquiam, WA. James Quigg formed Grays Harbor Construction Co. with two partners. He was responsible for the sand, gravel and marine operations. Grays Harbor Construction Co. was the largest construction firm in the area and James Quigg remained active until his death in 1937.

Quigg Bros., Inc. specializes in complex civil projects in rural and urban locations across Washington. With many different project locations and counting, QBI has completed contracts ranging from cofferdams for fuel tank installation to 120' steel piling installation to emergency shoring. The company routinely tackles many projects, in multiple locations, while ensuring the quality of each and that budget and schedule restrictions are met.
John is the third son of Jim Quigg, co-founder of what is now known as Quigg Bros., Inc. John always knew where he wanted to work: at his family's construction company. After graduating from Hoquiam High School, he played basketball for the University of Washington, where he majored in Business. John returned to Quigg Bros. in 1973.
Quigg Bros., Inc. is a member of the Associated General Contractor's "Safety Team". Our EMR factor has consistently been below 1.00 for over 18 years. This accomplishment is the result of the total commitment for safety from the management, a low turnover-rate among supervisors, the implementation of a drug/alcohol policy, job-specific safety checks, cooperation with the regulatory agencies and frequent on-site safety meetings.
QBI has long since focused on the importance of a sustained environment.
