The journey started when Matt Housworth drove to Eatonton with his father, John, to look at an old pallet manufacturing plant to build the new business. By Thanksgiving of 1993, Southeastern Portable Buildings was assembling its first building at the new facility.

Founded in 1993, Southeastern Buildings was started by John and Marlene Housworth with their sons, Matt and Keith Housworth. It all started when John and Matt drove to Eatonton, with his father to look at an old pallet manufacturing plant to build the new business. They actually disagreed that the facility would be too large for what they envisioned for the company, only later to learn that they actually needed more space, which led to an expansion in years since.By Thanksgiving of 1993, Southeastern Portable Buildings was assembling its first building at the new facility.
Using high quality materials, these buildings are built on your land and are not prefabbed. The standard sizes are 16', 18', 20', and 24'. We have the ability to customize the size you're looking for, whether it's one-story or two-story, built with a wood floor or an existing slab, our subcontractor can build almost anything your mind's eye desires.

We worked with Renee and Chris to order a 12x24 storage building for our Food Bank ( ACTS ). Both were very professional, friendly and easy to work with. We are very pleased with our building and would highly recommend Southeastern to anyone shopping for a storage building. Richard installed our building and we were very impressed with his knowledge and hard work. He made sure we were happy before he left.

I dealt with Renee and Chris on the phone and in person; Richard is the one who actually delivered our building. I was very satisfied with the entire experience! They showed me around the property ro help me find a building to meet my needs and the paperwork and purchase process was painless! Delivery happened sooner than expected and Richard was very patient, helping me make sure that I would be satisfied with the placement of the building. 10/10!

Hands down best price for great construction. We shopped for weeks comparing prices and quality. The "competition" either was same price with really poor construction or over priced BY THOUSANDS with metal materials that limited interior options. This company is GREAT and even customized exterior to look like our home exterior with still the lowest price.
Our delivery/ placement expert Richard was great and was very receptive to my request to change the angle of the placement to suit my OCD lol. Great job. Highly recommend. Thank you Richard.

I called about 8 weeks ago and ordered a 12x24 foot building through Renee, She was very helpful and told me it would take 8-9 weeks to get the building. They call me almost 2 weeks ago to tell me it was ready. I asked them to hold it until today, and they did. Richard delivered it today and was setting it up when Brian (one of the owners) showed up to see how it was going and to make sure I was happy. I love it to say the least. My thanks to everyone at SPB and mainly to Renee, Richard, and Brian.

Nice little building to keep my Harley-davidson out of the weather just really enjoy using concrete blocks to keep the doors closed! After posting my review I quickly received a call from Chris and once we had some communication about my issue he immediately sent someone out to take care of the problem, he introduced himself as Effingham (I hope my spelling is correct), a very friendly gentleman who immediately went to work and like magic my problem disappeared.
Now that is what I call good customer service, I am now very happy that my Harley is nice and secure and protected from the weather! Thanks to Chris and the crew at Southeastern Portable Buildings, I will purchase any building that I may need in the future from this local made in the USA company!

Richard delivered a new 12x16 wood building to us today on Lake Sinclair in Milledgeville. He took the time to set it up and maneuver it Back and forth until it was facing JUST as I envisioned it! He was patient and professional and obviously takes pride in his work; it was clear his goal was for us to be 100% satisfied - and we are! Richard is the absolute best company representative Southeastern Buildings could have out here meeting customers.

We've been working with Southeastern Buildings to design our shed. It was delivered today, and we are very pleased with everything. Chris and Renee in the office were so easy to work with, and so helpful and patient. Richard delivered and installed our shed, and he was professional and polite. It's amazing that he was able to do everything himself with minimal sod damage after all the rain we've had. We recommend Southeastern Buildings for all your shed needs. They are near the county buildings down the road from Ingles.

From selecting and purchasing to final build, everyone was wonderful and professional. Even though we had to wait a long time to get our shed built, due to all the bad weather, we are very pleased with the results. The construction crew started on time every day, was consistent and were hard workers. We love our new 'she shed/workshop'.
