The State is doing a massive project in front of my home (to put in a new freeway) and it has been nothing but a nightmare from the start trying to understand which sub contractor to contact if there are any issues. So when the foreman for Tempest came to my home to personally introduce himself and give me his contact information, should I have any concerns at all, I was unbelievable impressed and appreciative.

If the construction crews are as forward thinking and considerate as this gentleman, Mr. Hernandez Perez, I would absolutely hire them to do work for me! The company reaching out to inform those homes affected by the construction was fantastic.

I have worked for tempest a combined 13 years and nowhere will you find a more diverse and family oriented company. Safety is very important to this company and it 5 + years without a lost time accident. Our top notch supervisors, foreman and crews keep our reputation of quality a high priority, this company is the most family oriented company I have worked for "FAMILY COMES FIRST".

I have worked for Tempest for the last seven years and I really enjoy working in the family type atmosphere that we have here. From the office staff to all the guys working out in the field. Everyone takes pride in their work and it shows in Tempest's reputation. Safety is number one with this company, we have one of the top Safety Managers in SLC. Quality and Production are quick to follow with the experience that the Owners and our Superintendent of 48 years have.

Burying my gas line, they dug out my property stake. I couldn't see it missing because they piled up a bunch of gravel on that spot. I noticed it missing a couple weeks back when I finally got to working on the yard and spreading out the gravel. Sent out a foreman who immediately said it had been too long, that "for all we know, some kid came and pulled it out".

Then a few minutes later said that he'd try to explain something that I couldn't understand.when talking about staking a property line. Nice. Ultimately, he called someone, supposedly the owner, who also 'agreed' that it had been too long, as if that had something to do with them no longer being accountable. Then claimed to have called someone at Dominion who supposedly also said that they wouldn't cover it. Told me they dig up property stakes all the time, as if that is an acceptable practice for which they couldn't be accountable.

What an insulting and embarrassing company, because I could possibly understand the most basic principles of putting a backhoe in the ground and digging a trench. Good luck when Dominion picks them to work on your property, because you don't have a say. Set up video cameras, take before and after pics. And by all means, make sure you know ahead of time they aren't accountable for anything they screw up. Your experience won't be good.

I started at Tempest in 2012 as a laborer who was interested in learning the trade. Through the years in this unique culture i have had the opportunity to learn in several different positions of the importance of safely supplying natural gas to homes, neighborhoods, and businesses. I have used every resource possible to continue my knowledge and training in this trade.

Now as the Safety Director and having the important job of making sure our Women and Men are safe not only at work, but at home as well, is most important to me. Tempest is a great atmosphere and a very personal team of Men and Women who work hard and continually base their integrity and work ethics on Safety, Quality, and Production.

Yesterday my girlfriend was on her way out of Salt Lake going towards Wyoming and one of the trucks kicked a massive rock at our brand new truck, shattering the windshield. This truck did not have mud flaps or signs posted on it to be cautious due to rocks. My girlfriend called the company and she described the company truck (there was no unit/fleet number on the vehicle) and the receptionist said yes that is one of our trucks, let me sort this out so we can fix this for you.

They never returned the phone call. My girlfriend called back today and they called her a liar. Not surprised to see another negative review about this company and their drivers.

One of their drivers showed absolutely no courtesy on the highway. in fact I am certain he went out of his way to cause distress and tension for me and other drivers around him!
