Since being founded in 1964 by David O. Thayer, Thayer Power & Communication Line Construction Co., LLC has become one of the premier contractors in the Power, Fiber, and Wireless construction industries. Building a team with experience has allowed the company to provide excellent customer service and be a partner to its clients from concept to reality. As the utility industry evolves, TPC evolves right along with it making sure no matter what we put safety first, last, and always.
Services
TPC knows that all successful safety programs start with a strong and visible commitment from top management. Here at TPC, we actively support the safety culture. This is done through training all management that being safe on jobs is our number one priority. It is understood by all employees at TPC that the safety culture always produces a better result.
TPC has been providing quality service to our clients in the telecommunication industry for over 55 years. We understand the importance of our environment as well as the safety of our employees and clients. The Fiber Division installed its first fiber network in 1986, and we haven't stopped since! Our experience includes, but is not limited to, overhead and underground construction for fiber optics, ADSS in the communication space, fiber splicing, full turnkey projects, maintenance, and fiber to the home projects.
In 2015, TPC created a Wireless Division because it is what the industry needed at the time. Since its inception, this division has tackled many projects such as full-suite turnkey small cell deployments, smart city deployment, and OSP design, engineering, and construction, just to name a few. The line crews and staff of this division have nearly 200 years of collective experience in wireless construction, design, testing, and project management.
Since TPC was founded in 1964, we have been completing underground construction projects in the power and telecommunication industries. Today is no different, with in-house crews supporting the Power, Fiber, and Wireless Divisions with underground placement. In recent years we have seen an uptick in municipalities and cooperatives wanting underground placement of their utilities.

On Wednesday, June 15th, AT&T fiber optics came out to mark lines in my neighbors yard. At the time of their entrance, it seemed they were unaware my neighbors had a gate that opened on both sides of their home. Due to this unawareness, one of the workers hopped the fence causing damage to my fence property. At the time of the occurrence, pictures were taken to show damage of the fence.

In addition, communication was made with the lead of the crew to inform him of the damage that had been done to my property. None of the crew members took responsibility even though one of them was physically seen jumping the fence and causing damage. Originally, the lead of the crew said that he would buy materials to fix the fence up and would return in about an hour to complete the job.

He returned a hour later only to advise that his supervisor wanted to contact me about the damage. I provided the lead crew worker with my name and phone number as he had already copied down my address. I have yet to hear anything back from the workers nor the supervisor.

The workers did a professional job stringing AT&T fiber optic cables in my backyard, and supervisors interfaced well with customers, but, they left many chopped branches/limbs from triming trees and some workers proceeded to argue with me when I pointed that out to them, as well as a few other noteworthy discrepancies. So I must say the workers are unprofessional and need to hone their people skills. They seem overwhelmed with work and under a lot of pressure. Maybe hiring more workers would help calm things down? Just a thought.

Unprofessional staff. I normally don't mind a little joking around but pedophilia jokes just aren't okay. I probably wouldn't hire a company that lets their workers joke about pedophilia. When I joined the military and got retired out at 100% with an IU I realize I did that because of what I had gone through as a child. Now since I can still go on base I try to help anyone I can that had gone through sexual trauma. Think wisely before you consider hiring somebody that thinks it's a joke.
