Third Sun Solar & Wind Power

My research into Third Sun Solar indicated a company with extensive experience in residential photovoltaic solar systems AND extensive information on their website and on YouTube about solar systems. My online searches for reviews and my research on the Better Business Bureau website found virtually nothing negative about the company. Our experience, from receiving a quotation to the final activation of the system, confirmed my research and was all very positive.

We never felt any high-pressure sales tactics, they answered all of our questions promptly and in a manner we could understand. The installation crew was friendly and very capable; they were careful, neat, and respectful of our home and the job. Third Sun Solar handled ALL of the paperwork with our town and utility service, including the 28-page application packet with the city.

They handled the required inspections and all follow-up adjustments requested. If you are going solar, we not only would strongly encourage you to consider Third Sun Solar, we think you would make a mistake by not including them among the companies you ask to quote on your installation.

They do their installs with their own crews who are very knowledgeable, polite and neat. They've installed my solar panels, power wall and Tesla charger. I believe their pricing is competitive

I'm writing a review, not as a customer, but as a solar contractor from another state. This company's integrity shines through the information they provide on their website. There is ALOT of misinformation related to solar throughout the United States and it is rare to see a company take a firm stance on honesty, even if it makes it harder to compete. Keep outlasting those "solar entrepreneurs"!

Third Sun Solar was great to work with! We tried their leading competitor first and this company was much better. They got everything done in a very timely way, and we love seeing our solar panels generating all the electricity we use. We couldn't be happier with Third Sun Solar.

Everyone at Third Sun was extremely helpful, informative, and responsive. They described the project in detail and completed the installation ahead of schedule. (I was really impressed when staff even came back after hours to help with some emergency electrical issues.) They've also provided ongoing support with the tracking app and interpreting the change in utility bills. I strongly recommend them for anyone switching to residential solar.

I have worked with Third Sun Solar on two separate occasions and have had positive experiences both times. They originally installed 30 solar panels on our home several years ago. We hired them to add 36 more last year as well as add Tesla Powerwalls to our system. Both times Third Sun was amazing to work with and they met all of our expectations.

There were a few surprises during the install, due to Tesla's gateway amperage limitations. Third sun stuck with me throughout the process and we figured out solutions as a team. They assured me throughout that they would make it work and they were true to their word. From the administrative staff to the technicians and electricians, I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience. I would work with them again and highly recommend them!

We chose Third Sun Solar after meeting with 2 other companies. We are very happy to say we made the right choice. They were the most knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and service oriented. Jake, Gordon, and team worked through rain and a blizzard to complete our amazing installation. Ernie and Christine proactively communicated all permitting and designs from start to finish. Installation, inspection, meter swap, and power generation were completed within only a few weeks. Highly recommended!

I did quite a bit of research and got quotes from more than one solar company before settling on Third Sun Solar. The deciding factor for me was cost, although Third Sun Solar was very competitive on pricing. Their flexibility and willingness to answer our many questions made a positive impression. Quick responses to inquiries were also impressive. I could not be more pleased with the way the diligence, manners, and concern showed by their work crew. Professionalism and quality were apparent throughout this experience.

Every person we spoke to on the Third Sun staff was pleasant and full of expertise. The install crew members were all top quality people and fun to get to know. They had very positive attitudes and kept each other's spirits up. They took pride in their work and were incredibly precise. They were very careful, and damaged nothing. They worked hard and in the heat without complaint.

They seemed to feel they had the job they wanted, and were lucky to have such good employers. Your property and your project will be in good hands with these super skilled people. We give them a 5 star review.

Just got our 10 kW array online and Third Sun is helping us earn money from our solar panels by selling our AEPSs. Several states have created an Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard (AEPS) that states that an annually increasing percentage of electricity sold to customers be from solar energy sources. We earn money by selling our capacity to generate electricity not the actual electricity we produce. It's confusing but that why it's great that Third-Sun makes it easy! However we didn't make any electricity two days ago. Snow on the panels!

They did a great job working on our solar project, and finding the solution that worked for us. The process was smooth. They were efficient, professional, and worked in pretty tough weather conditions. I am thankful for their work, and I am really glad I went with Third Sun Solar for our installation in Cleveland.

I've worked with many energy contractors through out my career and none we as easy and professional as TSS. They installed our system in June 2015, and never failed to responded to any question or concern. The install crew was great, polite and left work site spotless. If your considering solar (and you should) you can't go wrong with Third Sun Solar
