Twin City Builders is owned and managed by the same lady who owns The Villas at Hidden Acres in Hanover Township. First off if you are looking for a contractor to build anything for you, I would keep looking. Or who knows maybe she runs her commercial building business better than her residential portion. Construction wise - The Villas are shoddy at best.

Outside framed walls that have ZERO barriers placed between the framing and the slab, at the siding stops abruptly where the framing is, and when winter came so did the drafts. So myself and almost EVERY OTHER tenant that lived in an outside framed unit had to buy our own caulking (or wait an unknown amount of time for her maintenance/construction workers to show) and seal our baseboards.

Electric bills because of this poor construction averaged over $300 per unit. We actually purchased space heaters because at times it was like sleeping outside. I've never had the pleasure of waking up in my house and seeing my breath like I was outside. That's how bad it was. And the work done by the subcontractors is laughable at best. Our shower had 2 water leaks that caused black mold to build up, we lived with holes in our bathroom walls for almost 2 months because of the wait on the plumbers, who NEVER showed up again as they stated and her own workers took their sweet time to come and patch up the wall.

The AC work was a disaster. Our building the owner decided to change the HVAC layout after the first few buildings went up. But what she did was cut down on the amount of vents we had, so our house was never actually comfortable. Then there was the GIANT hole in the actual HVAC closet, that no one and I mean no one knew about. UNTIL the AC began having major issues.

The HVAC contractor literally left the entire space around the plume going to the attic space OPEN. No wonder our house was NEVER comfortable. And in closing I'll leave you with some more poor construction info. The walls between units were paper thin, so thin in fact my wife could hear our 80 year old neighbor going to the bathroom at 1 am. Let me tell you, as a veteran and having done my fair share of travel, I've stayed in roadside motels that were quieter than living here. Do yourself a favor and find a better company.
