As the entire country shut down last winter our remodel got underway. We were well planned, met with Wishon Carter officials [Ted Baity and Randy Trinkle were the BEST!], and we had scheduled a winter 2020 remodel. We made the decision to live in our home during this project and moved into a room above our garage space. We laughed and welcomed the neighborhood port-a-potty to our driveway and the journey began. COVID-19 shut the country down about the time our demo was completed.

The project manager, Randy Trinkle kept us informed of deliveries, product delays, etc. His daily and weekly communication was superior to anything we had ever experienced. The quality of craftsmanship was evident as the project continued and when we had a question, concern or an alternate idea, it was met with professionalism and was quickly addressed. Yes, a 4-month remodel amidst the global pandemic resulted in a 10-month remodel due to COVID but this was not because of the builder.

During those10 months we used a makeshift kitchen that included a tabletop cooktop and a dorm style refrigerator. We found the simplicity of the one room apartment took us back to our college days and we were reminded of how we really didn't need many of our material items A favorite piece of the remodel was access to a design professional they connected us with.

We contracted with Leigh Ann Raines, owner of Chic by Design. She polished our ideas and guided us through those days of the pandemic unknown and when the noise, dust and delays were a little too much, she always had the right comment and decisions to make. She helped me to make those selections on color, design and style that might have been overwhelming if we had made them alone.

Her expertise and vision became ours and we were so pleased at how beautiful our home turned out. Our only regret was that after we moved back downstairs and the last box in the garage was unpacked we thought of hosting an open house for the Wishon Carter staff, sub-contractors, and Chic by Design owner, Leigh Ann Raines, but we were halted because of the pandemic.

It is a shame they cannot see their finished work and allow us to beam with pride in our home and the new look thy gave us. Wishon Carter Builders were timely, fairly priced, and best of all, the work was of the highest quality. So happy we went with this company. W. Critical: Quality, Responsiveness, Value Beware. Once they get your money they won't fix their mistakes they said they would fix.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value Rude people. Liars about what they can and will do. Will put you off and brag they build $ million homes. Do yourself a favor and let anyone else build besides this group. I have 50+ photos of short cuts and never have been given screens for my windows $340k house built. Worst experience of my life and I have 2 combat tours to Iraq.

This company over states quality. From start to finish my house project was a nightmare between lies and deceptive business practices. Intentionally undercutting budgets to increase profit margins. Discriminative practices will also leave a bad taste in your mouth from this company as well. Company also has a tendency to be rude and disrespectful.

At the end of the day I paid them to do a job and they failed at it miserably. The workmanship on my house is poor in nature and definitely not worth the money paid to this company. So for future builders if you decide to go with this company I strongly advise you to have a lawyer, realtor, or even another project manager look over your proposed contract and official contract to avoid being ripped off by this company. Don't be fooled by the false grins and the shady car salesmen like nature of this business.

I have done a substantial amount of business with Ted Baity, Justin Wells, Randy Trinkle and Ryan Friolick and just about everyone at Wishon and Carter. They are all professionals from start to finish and a pleasure to work with. I look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.
