12 year customer and did an upgrade in 2015 signed a 3 year contract to get the upgrade but just know that after the 3 years are up the contract goes on and on for addtional 2 years then addtional years in set of 3 years. We are moving out of state due to job change and had to pay $164.00 to get out of the contract and there is no way to get out unless you are at the end of the contract year and you have to send a 30 day notice.
Also we have had to make a few service calls over the years and we leave messages and no one calls us back & when we do get intouch with them they are not friendly. I would not chose them if I had to do it again surely there is another local alram company that will treat you better.

Buyer Beware. I've been a customer since 2011. However they can't and have not been able to provide monitoring service for several months. To keep there service I would have to spend $500 and sign a 3 year agreement. I am not under an agreement now, so they force me to evaluate the market for this service. Terry at certified provided the same sales pitch he shared 10 year ago. Long story short. I have two pay for 2 additional months, mind you they couldn't provide service for two months that I have been billed service. What a rip off! So when I requested a cancellation. BAM. did I get billed from a company that acknowledging they could not service me. Buyer Beware'

I took over a contract in a home I leased. At the end of my lease I was told I own the alarm (that the owners installed) and still had two years left on my contract. I could either pay the full amount of the contract or continue making payments for the next two years. They're still calling me about bad sensors and failed tests a year later. I'm still paying them to prevent a bad mark on my credit.

My husband and I moved into an apartment that already had a contract in place and we took over that contract. That was almost 4 years ago. We have moved 2 more times since then. The first time we asked to cancel and they said we had to continue out the 2 year contract. This was an apartment, mind you, that came with the set up. So we waited til far after the contract was up, asked for it to be cancelled, and they said we had to fill out a form to request the cancellation.
If a contract is up, its up.you shouldn't have to request to cancel.if you don't renew, then it should automatically be cancelled. (my opinion anyway) So they apparently sent me this form and I never received it.was just looking over my bank statements and realized I am still being billed. So I called again today to cancel and they said they will send a form. We will see what happens. They said they would send it to my email within minutes and that was almost an hour ago. They also said they would not reimburse me for the almost 2 years that the contract was up and I have still been having my account auto-drafted.
