Sherlock Homes Builders, Inc. began in 1968 with the original Schwartz family members and continues to include hundreds of dedicated subcontractors and staff who have worked with Sherlock over the last 50+ years to bring homebuyers the best homebuying experience available. The most important members of the Sherlock family are the over one thousand new homeowners who have chosen to join our family over the years, some of them two or three times! For over 50 years Sherlock has specialized in working with landowners to prepare their lots and build custom homes on their property in the Middle Tennessee Area. Because each landowner's lot comes with its own unique conditions, issues, and code requirements there are very few builders who have the experience and attention to detail to successfully undertake such projects.

Sherlock offers drafting and design services in-house at no charge. We will help you build your dream from scratch or put the finishing touches on your plans. Sherlock has reviewed some of the industry's best architects and selected our favorite designs. These designs represent spacious homes that strike a gracious balance between luxury and efficiency.

The costs associated with completing a home can be grouped into the three main categories shown here. If you are building "On Your Lot" then you already own your land (or soon will) and are looking for pricing on Structure and Site Prep. The Structure Costs are those materials and labor required to construct your home on your land.
