Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) are high performance building panels used in floors, walls, and roofs in place of typical "stick framed" lumber construction. The SIP green advantage is high energy efficiency coupled with low old-growth lumber content. Patience, precision and personalised. These are the hallmarks of our tailored home design and construction experience with Verde. Behind any great experience are passionate people. Drew and Jeff were with us every step of the way - from initial design and concept sketches through to town planning consultation, project execution and our final walkthrough on completion.
This project would not have been possible without Drew, Jeff and their team of skilled trades people, attentively managed by Rob, our highly responsive site manager. The meticulous attention to detail, genuine care and high standards of quality underscored Verde's approach to design led home living. People say that deciding to build a home is one of the biggest personal and financial investment decisions you can make.
I would add that selecting the right builder is as important as the decision itself. We look forward to the opportunity of partnering with Drew and Jeff again should we be fortunate enough to embark on another property construction project.

We recently completed 2 dual occupancy properties with Verde Homes and couldn't be more satisfied with the process, end product and the team. The houses are better than I could have imagined! We've received many positive comments from friends and even people that pass by stop to take pictures of the houses! Drew is one of the most patient people I've met.
He is calm, positive, stylish and professional. In fact, we couldn't have taken this project off the ground without his help. Jeff and the team are very organised, punctual, and pedantic with detail. I recommend this company with my eyes closed.

We have just finished building two homes with Verde and were extremely please with the process throughout the planning and building. Both Drew and Jeff were supportive and available through all the phases of the design and build and we have ended up with homes that have met and exceeded our expectations. we would happily build with them again and unreservedly recommend them for anyone looking to build a custom luxury home.

Well. After 30 months of planning and preparation (to knock down and rebuild two side by side houses in Hawthorn) using a volume builder that I initially thought would deliver me a sharp looking product at a reasonable price, I decided to give them the flick and go to an experienced boutique small volume builder. I chose Verde Homes as I knew the key people in that company and was confident that they could deliver what I desperately needed. Drew Reaper heads up the design and pre-construction side of the company.
He is an architect and was able to quickly review my plans (from the previous builder) and found a whole range of opportunities to improve the design. Tick. Having had extensive experience dealing with difficult town planning departments (Boroondara are a nightmare!), he was able to readily re-package my project in a way that I now expect will be approved by Council. Tick.
The previous builder rushed into entering into a building contract with me. It did not include any indication of the cost of items such as extra concrete, heating and cooling, drainage and site costs or connections. I went to the bank and secured a loan that was $150k short of what I was going to need. Verde Homes have given me an all inclusive price and will only enter into a contract when everything is sorted out and tied down. Tick.
This approach is honest and fair - other builders trick you with a lower price and then hit you up along the way for 'extras'. I don't call drainage and concrete and connections and heating extras do you? So far so good. Verde has a stirling reputation and I am unaware of anyone having problems with them. You pay for what you get. Tick.

To let you know we are posting this review everywhere we can as we had such a great experience We were looking to build our third (and likely last) home. After a deal of searching for the "right" builder we followed a recommendation of a close friend and met with Verde Homes. Proof of their quality and attention to detail was easily proved but the key for us was how easy it was working with them to take our ideas and come up with a design that balanced the look and feel we were after coupled with practical use of space on an awkward block of land.and didn't blow the budget.
In particular we thought that Drew was a "marriage saver" in mediating during the design process.we were guilty of changing our minds and questioning just about everything. We are most pleased to say that the build was done efficiently, on time with any concern or issue dealt with quickly without fuss. And we are now in our home that we love

I would definitely recommend Verde Homes. We found them to be flexible, responsive to our needs and to well deserve their reputation for high quality home building. Even though our design ideas changed as we went along, they were patient, yet pragmatic in their input to the design so that we achieved a beautiful home that we love. Their tradesman were friendly, highly skilled and stood behind their workmanship when maintenance was required. An added surprise was to be able to move in before the originally estimated date.
