BLS Construction, Inc. was founded in 1982 by John Schmermund, who had a vision for providing quality commercial construction services throughout the local community and to successfully grow it to serve the Gulf Coast region. His brother, Frank Schmermund, joined the business and they made a hard-to-beat team by combining their business and engineering minds. Within the first 5 years of being a General Contractor, John's vision became a reality and after 25 years, many successful projects were completed and relationships created.

William started with the company in 2005 and his goals have been the same since day one. He is determined to grow the company and find new ways to be successful. During his time with BLS, William quickly worked his way to the top and recently gained title as President of the company. He has a business degree from Southwestern University and uses it every day with his focus of business first and play later. He approaches each project with enthusiasm and maintains a positive attitude throughout the challenges.

Over the past 38 years, our expertise has grown from small buildings and remodeling to now encompass a wide range of structures. We are continually expanding our portfolio while constantly perfecting the more common project types. The company is based in El Campo, Texas, however our construction projects are visible throughout the EAST, WEST, and south texas. Every project is completed using a highly talented and skilled team of individuals with one goal as the focus, quality!
